Designed with a striking red and white colour scheme, the exhibition captivates with a décor that harmoniously blends traditional and contemporary elements.
Covering an area of 300 square metres, the exhibition showcases hundreds of documents that highlight the pivotal role of Nhan Dan Newspaper—and the revolutionary press more broadly—throughout the nation’s 80-year journey towards Independence, Freedom and Happiness.
At the heart of the exhibition stands a 3D model of the Nhan Dan Newspaper’s front page, featuring an image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the paper. Behind it, LED screens display vivid scenes of Viet Nam’s iconic landscapes.
A standout feature is the display centred on President Ho Chi Minh’s declaration: “Our Party has only one purpose – to serve the people. Therefore, the Party’s newspaper should be called Nhan Dan (People).”
The exhibition showcases hundreds of documents that highlight the pivotal role of Nhan Dan Newspaper—and the revolutionary press more broadly—throughout the nation’s 80-year journey towards Independence, Freedom and Happiness.
The exhibition is divided into thematic sections, including The Birth of Nhan Dan Newspaper – In the Flash of Fire and Bullets, Accompanying the Country, The Heart and the Pen, and The Milestone in the Revolutionary Journey. These segments invite visitors to explore the evolution of Nhan Dan Newspaper and revolutionary journalism in Viet Nam.
An “Experience Corner” offers visitors a hands-on encounter with special editions and supplements of Nhan Dan Newspaper. It also features interactive journalistic products enhanced by technology, including a virtual Traditional House of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
Videos showcasing the newspaper’s digital transformation and its embrace of technological innovation are also on display.
During the event, Nhan Dan Newspaper is distributing a special supplement commemorating the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam’s National Day, dated September 2.
This supplement comprises two parts: the first recreates the moment President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, accompanied by the full text of the declaration—an enduring document affirming the Vietnamese people's right to independence and freedom.
The second part highlights 80 significant events from the past eight decades across political, economic, social, diplomatic and cultural spheres.

The publication is a seamless blend of political, historical and humanistic content, enriched with cultural and artistic elements and rare documentary images. It stands as both a valuable historical record and a source of inspiration.
Notably, the supplement includes a range of “digital gifts” that allow readers to virtually “time-travel” to the historic moment of 2 September, 80 years ago. These include a virtual reality experience at Ba Dinh Square, a 3D augmented reality (AR) model of the Independence Monument enabling users to “check-in” with the monument from any location, and audio experiences of the Declaration of Independence available on Spotify and TikTok.
Visitors are also invited to participate in an MC contest, offering them the chance to try their hand at event hosting while gaining deeper insight into the history of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Viet Nam’s revolutionary journalism.

Nguyen Thi My Hanh, a 76-year-old visitor from Vu Ninh Ward, Bac Ninh Province, expressed her delight at the exhibition, praising the newspaper for consistently delivering official, trustworthy information, reflecting the pulse of daily life, and maintaining public confidence.
Tu Anh, a seven grader at Linh Nam Secondary School in Ha Noi and a participant in the MC challenge, shared that the mini-game was a fascinating experience. It taught her how to manage breathing, pause effectively, and present at a steady pace while speaking.
With its creative curation of images, documents, artefacts and a host of interactive and engaging activities, the exhibition Nhan Dan Newspaper – The Voice of the Party, the State and the People of Viet Nam stands as a landmark event. It reaffirms Nhan Dan Newspaper’s commitment to innovation and diversity in reaching a broad audience—especially the younger generation.
