The three-day event allows visitors to enjoy art performances, folk games, and hands-on experiences making handicraft products.

The festival presents more than 400 delicacies from the northern, central and southern regions of Vietnam, art performances, folk games, handicraft demonstrations, and tourism promotion programs.

The opening ceremony was followed by performances of Quan Ho folk singing of the northerners, as well as Then singing, and Tinh musical instruments of the Tay ethnic group. Performances of Hue folk singing of the central region and a parade will also take place.

Truong Duc Hung, Director General of Saigontourist Group, said the festival aims to create a space where people can enjoy and promote tourism. It can be considered a food tour where people don’t have to travel to taste the delicacies of every region.

A highlight of the festival is the coconut bowl dance, the monkey dance, and the Ngu am musical instrument of the Khmer people, performed by an art troupe from Soc Trang Province, as well as southern amateur singing, reformed opera, and tuong classical music performances and parades.

Booths introduce 50 types of traditional cakes, and artisans will teach visitors how to wrap, bake, steam and fry cakes, as well as how to make noodles, weave hats, and make rice cakes and wine. A contest will be held to determine the ten best dishes.
