The celebration, parade and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day will take place at 6:30 am on September 2, at Ba Dinh Square. This is a particularly important political event of profound historical, political and social significance, reflecting the stature, courage and prestige of the Party, State and people in the cause of national struggle, construction and defence.
To enable citizens to follow the event, the Ha Noi People’s Committee has drawn up a plan to deploy 285 LED screens at public locations, offices, schools and stadiums. Ha Noi Radio and Television has been assigned to install 22 large screens at 18 key sites across the capital.

A representative of the construction unit said that heavy rain in recent days had caused considerable difficulties in the installation process. In addition, construction could only be carried out at night, when lorries and cranes are permitted to operate within the inner city. To ensure timely service for the public to watch the grand ceremony, the unit is speeding up progress to complete the work.
The system is expected to undergo trial runs on August 24 or 25 and be officially handed over on August 27 to serve the programme.
In addition to the 22 large screens at central locations, the city will also use 136 existing LED screens at offices, cultural houses, schools and stadiums.
Ha Noi is also mobilising 127 large screens through socialisation across the city to ensure effective dissemination and promotion for the series of activities celebrating the significant event.
Nguyen Hanh Dung, a resident of Ha Dong ward, said her family, especially her children, were very excited and looking forward to the parade on 2 September. However, living far from the centre made it difficult to travel to watch the programme in person.
“I heard that a large LED screen will be installed at Nguyen Trai Garden, broadcasting the parade live. My family is very happy. This shows the city authorities’ concern, creating conditions for citizens to share in the joy of the whole nation,” Dung said.
Nguyen Khanh Huy in Cau Giay, Ha Noi expressed his support: “The installation of LED screens will allow citizens to follow the parade from any location, without needing to travel to the central area. I think this approach also helps to avoid overcrowding at one site.”
