At the ceremony, the organising board also presented 2 first, 4 second, 10 third and 20 consolation prizes to the most outstanding entries.
The competition, which ran from December 2021 to April 2022, was organised by the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation, the Vietnam Post Corporation, and the Vietnam Philatelic Association.
It aimed to raise awareness on Vietnam’s seas and islands among the younger generation, as well as increase their responsibility in safeguarding the national sovereignty.
The contest received a total of more than 1.1 million entries, 37 of which were selected in the final round.
