According to statistics from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the whole city has 104,917 candidates registered this year for option 1, and the number for option 2 and 3 is more than 101,000 and 64,000 respectively.
To serve the exam, the city has prepared 201 test venues, including 113 test venues at high schools and 88 test venues at secondary schools.
All test sites are committed to ensuring that all conditions of facilities are as prescribed. In particular, during the current hot weather and frequent rotating power cuts, although the electricity industry is committed to ensuring no power cuts at the test sites, 201 test venues all have backup generators.

This is a fiercely competitive exam as the number of contestants is large but the quota for public schools is limited. With 104,917 candidates registered for the exam, the total enrollment quota is only 69,805 students.
