The PM also urged the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance to allocate adequate capital from the State budget for land clearance, resettlement and infrastructure construction at the park.
The PM asked the Management Board to complete the detailed plan for the Park’s functional zones in 2011 and accelerate the construction of facilities to be completed before December 31, 2012.
At the same time, it should strengthen land management and protection to prevent illegal construction and land encroachment.
The Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park was established in 1998 and built on an area of nearly 1,600 hectares. It includes ten functional zones, of which the hi-tech industry zone covers the largest area, 549.5 hectares.
There is also a research and implementation zone of 229 hectares for conducting research on hi-tech applications and training hi-tech personnel.
The park also includes areas for accommodation, offices, entertainment, and sports facilities.
