Medical workers congratulated on Vietnam Physicians’ Day

Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia visited 108 Military Central Hospital and Central Lung Hospital on February 21, on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Vietnam Physicians’ Day.

Speaking at the meetings, he praised the contributions of medical workers over recent years, affirming that the two hospitals have performed well their tasks of preventing the COVID-19 pandemic and taking care of people’s health.

“The efforts of the medical sector have contributed to bringing peace and warmth to the people across the country, especially during Lunar New Year 2022. The country witnesses a joyful atmosphere with activities returning to normal,” said the Party official.

He also expressed his hope that the 108 Military Central Hospital will promote its 70-year tradition to become a hospital of international standards and better serve the people and the military force.

Meanwhile, he praised the Central Lung Hospital as the leading hospital in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic while expressing his belief that the hospital will achieve the goal of ending tuberculosis in Vietnam.

On the same day, the Party official also visited People's Doctor, Prof., Dr. Vu Van Dinh at his home. Nguyen Trong Nghia wished him good health and expressed his belief that the senior doctor will continue to be a good example for younger generations to follow.
