Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended the event and presented the Medal to leaders of the Corporation.

The Deputy PM emphasised that the Corporation’s officials and staff throughout the past have been active and creative in application of science and technology advances in manufacturing safe explosive materials, contributing to ensuring energy security in the cause of national industrialisation and modernisation.

Deputy PM Hai urged leaders of the Corporation to improve the quality of human resources and promote the modernisation of phases of the production line in order to reduce the import of materials, moving towards becoming a well-known enterprise in industrial explosive materials production and business in the world.

The Deputy PM noted that Micco should co-ordinate with production and supply units under the Defence Ministry to manufacture industrial explosive materials in order to meet the country's demand and increase exports.

He also requested the Corporation as well as all ministries, branches and local authorities to focus on preventing fires and explosions and loss of industrial explosive materials.

Micco, one of four major corporations under the Vietnam National Coal Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), has been presented numerous prestigious titles by the Party and State.
