Candidates aged between 13 and 22 are eligible for the contest.
The MOSWC 2016 featured numerous changes, with the number of skills multiplied to six, including Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Word 2013, Microsoft Excel 2010, Microsoft Excel 2013, Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 and Microsoft PowerPoint 2013.
The six winners of six categories of the national contest will represent Vietnam to compete for the US$7,500 first prize in the finals of the MOSWC 2016 to be held in Orlando, Florida, USA from August 7 to 10, 2016.
At the 2015 MOSWC, Nguyen Thi Hien Gia from the Foreign Trade University secured the only bronze medal for Vietnam in the Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 category.
The MOSWC is the world’s largest competition on Microsoft Office skills, spanning over 100 countries.
In Vietnam, it has now become the biggest national-scale world class computer proficiency competition, reaching out to all of the 63 provinces and municipalities nationwide.
