For the first time at the museum, ethnic minority groups in Yen Bai province will bring to the event their unique cultural identity, such as the Kho Mu’s dance to praying for rain, the Mong’s pan-pine performances and thang co (a braised dish of horse, goat or buffalo meat), the Tay’s pig roast and com lam (rice cooked in bamboo tube), and the Thai's five-colour glutinous rice.

Various folk games will also be staged as an indispensable part of the programme, including humming-top playing, tug of war, to he (toy figurine) making and painting, swinging and bamboo pole dance.

Additionally, visitors will have a chance to enjoy water puppetry shows by artists from Hai Phong city’s Minh Tam troupe and try making a traditional Dong Ho folk painting under the instruction of artisans from Bac Ninh province.
