A photo exhibition featuring the life and career of late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet, opened in Ho Chi Minh City on November 21, on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary. (November 23, 1922-2022).

The event is taking place at two locations in the downtown city: Nguyen Hue Street and Pasteur - Ly Tu Trong Junction, in front of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum.

On Nguyen Hue Street, the exhibition gives visitors an insight into the background and revolutionary career of the late leader, especially when he was Chairman of the People’s Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

In front of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, photos feature his imprints on great works of the country.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors until November 30.

On this occasion, the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with Xua va Nay (Past and Present) magazine, organised the exhibition "Dau An Thu Tuong Vo Van Kiet" (The imprint of Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet), with more than 200 photos introducing the life, career and great contributions of Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet.

The exhibition runs until November 25.

The late PM Vo Van Kiet, also known as Sau Dan, whose real name is Phan Van Hoa, was born on November 23, 1922, in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long.

He was an excellent student of the late President Ho Chi Minh. He had received the Sao Vang (Golden Star) Order, the State’s highest distinction, for his immense contributions to the Vietnamese revolution over the past 70 years.

The late PM was loved by many Vietnamese people for his services to the country. He passed away on June 11, 2008.
