The fair is a good opportunity for enterprises and localities to promote specialty products, craft village products and OCOP products produced in Viet Nam to consumers and tourists from home and abroad, and to participate in effective supply–consumption chains in the capital’s market. It is also a venue for distributors to search for and select sources of goods; and an event welcomed by consumers, especially during the year-end shopping season. By coming to the fair, consumers have more opportunities to access and purchase quality products manufactured by Vietnamese enterprises.
The fair is organised by the Centre for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion under assignment from the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade.
The fair features a scale of 200–300 booths and spaces for displaying exemplary products, product demonstrations and experiences, areas introducing culinary culture, spaces for trade connection and the application of digital technology.
In addition to activities promoting and introducing products, many cultural and tourism promotion activities and product demonstrations are enthusiastically joined by provinces, cities and enterprises, contributing to enhancing the attractiveness and overall success of the programme—where people and visitors have opportunities to explore and experience specialty products and enjoy cultural and tourism products from regions across the country.
The fair attracts the participation of more than 120 units, including manufacturing enterprises, cooperatives, craft villages, representatives of sectoral associations and provinces and cities, with representative products from various sectors such as regional specialty products, OCOP products and traditional craft village products on display and introduction, covering diverse fields and industries.
Notable among the food, agricultural and OCOP product group are units such as Halicophar International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company with bird’s nest and cordyceps products; An Gia Food Trading Joint Stock Company with traditional candied fruits and jams; and producers of premium arrowroot vermicelli, confectionery and processed agricultural products from Ha Noi, Son La, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa and other localities.
In the field of food processing, beverages and safe agricultural products, the fair features many cooperatives and production facilities with products that help diversify the supply of quality goods for the year-end market.
In addition, the craft village and handicraft product area is a prominent highlight, featuring traditional handicrafts that reflect the creativity and long-standing cultural values of Vietnamese craft villages.
