Ha Noi, the capital city of Viet Nam marks the first stop of the group’s world tour celebrating their 30th anniversary. “Secret Garden Live in Viet Nam” is part of the international community music project “Good Morning Viet Nam”, initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Viet Nam. The project aims to bring world-class music performances by renowned international artists to Vietnamese audiences while promoting Viet Nam’s rich cultural and historical values to the world.

Following legendary saxophonist Kenny G and the string quartet Bond, Secret Garden takes centre stage as the featured artist for the third edition of "Good Morning Viet Nam" project.

Fionnuala Sherry and Rolf Løvland could not hide their excitement and enthusiasm about performing in Vietnam for the first time as part of their global tour. They appeared simple yet strikingly elegant in their travel attire and were friendly and cheerful upon arrival.

The organising committee presented the artists with Vietnamese conical hats (non la) hand-painted with Viet Nam’s iconic landscapes and natural scenery, along with the event title “Secret Garden Live in Viet Nam”. Artist Rolf Løvland expressed his excitement at their upcoming performances in Viet Nam.

According to the organising committee, the stage for “Secret Garden Live in Viet Nam” will be one of the grandest and most beautiful stages ever designed for the group. Secret Garden will perform around 30 songs, representing highlights from their 30-year musical journey.

In 1995, Secret Garden made history by winning the Eurovision Song Contest with their composition “Nocturne.” The victory broke the competition’s 40-year tradition, marking the first time the prestigious European contest awarded a prize to an instrumental work and performing ensemble.

Over the past three decades, Secret Garden has sustained a devoted global following through 12 studio albums, beginning with “Songs From A Secret Garden” (1995) and most recently “Songs In The Circle of Time” (2024).

Formed in 1994, Secret Garden consists of two members: violinist Fionnuala Sherry and composer–pianist Rolf Løvland. The duo has maintained their prominence in the mainstream music scene as one of the best-selling acts under the Universal Classics & Jazz label, with 113 platinum certifications worldwide, over 3 billion streams, and 311 weeks on the Billboard New Age chart.

Their composition “You Raise Me Up” (2001) has been performed by numerous world-renowned artists and groups, including Josh Groban, Westlife, and Il Divo, as well as more than 1,000 other performers — making it one of the most recorded songs of the century.
