On the night of the competition in the central city of Nha Trang on November 17, 23-year-old Tijana Rakic from Serbia beat the other 38 candidates with an impressive performance in a pink Vietnamese ‘ao dai.’
The other four winners of the ‘ao dai’ competition came from the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Nicaragua, and Taiwan.
Jennifer Stephanie Pazmino, 23, from Ecuador also charmed the audience and jury in a white evening dress.
The four runners-up in the competition include beauties from Thailand, Brazil, the Czech Republic and Venezuela.
At the November 17 show, the organising board handed over VND1 billion for Khanh Hoa province and VND 1.3 billion for Phu Yen, Quang Nam and Binh Thuan provinces to support flood victims in those areas.
On the occasion, the Thanh Nien (Young People) daily also granted VND 200 million to flood-hit provinces in the central region. (VNA)
