At the conference, Vietnamese and foreign speakers discussed three major topics, namely human-robot interaction in industry 4.0, the application of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) for smart cities and Vietnam in the era of robotics and AI.
According to SHTP Director Le Hoai Quoc, the fourth industrial revolution is taking place in three main areas: biotechnology, digital and physics, in which the core elements of the digital area are AI, the Internet of Things and big data.
He added that currently robots are present in many aspects of life, providing huge support to human movement and creativity.
The conference is expected to raise awareness on the role of smart technologies in improving the quality of life and accelerating the process of industrialisation and modernisation.
It also contributes to the development of microelectromechanical development projects as part of Ho Chi Minh City’s microchip industry development programme.
On the occasion, an exhibition was also staged to display products in robotics and automation.
