Nguyen Doan Anh, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, delivers the opening remarks.

The event was organised by Thanh Hoa Province in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In his opening address, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Doan Anh emphasised that Viet Nam and Russia have long-standing traditional ties, nurtured closely across generations. Over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Viet Nam–Russia relations have grown increasingly robust. Notably, in recent years, economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries has continued to expand in a positive manner, creating new room for cooperation between their localities and business communities.

Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh noted that Thanh Hoa Province, as a growth pole in northern Viet Nam, aspires to become a dynamic, friendly, and reliable destination for the Russian business community.

Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi expressed the hope that today’s conference would not merely offer introductions but serve as a starting point for study tours, direct dialogue, exchanges, and successful contracts in the future.

The ambassador stressed that the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation is committed to accompanying Thanh Hoa Province in implementing and organising activities to promote investment, trade, and tourism cooperation between Russian enterprises and partners in Thanh Hoa.

At the same time, the embassy will continue to act as a solid bridge, fostering partnerships between businesses, localities, and the peoples of the two countries.

During the Q&A session between Russian enterprises and Thanh Hoa provincial leaders, Russian businesses obtained essential information on promising projects in tourism, energy, education, consumer goods manufacturing, and construction, as well as the incentives and investment attraction policies being offered by Thanh Hoa Province.

Thanh Hoa Province’s handicraft products drew the attention of Russian enterprises at the conference.

The direct business-matching session between organisations and enterprises from both sides following the conference created valuable opportunities for Russian companies to access up-to-date, first-hand information on the investment environment and opportunities in one of Viet Nam’s most dynamic provinces. It also enabled them to establish direct connections with Thanh Hoa’s leadership and the Vietnamese business community as well as to discuss concrete initiatives to strengthen Russia–Viet Nam relations.
