The contest was launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee for students around the country from August 2 to October 10. The awards ceremony was held in Hanoi on November 11.
The second prize went to a video clip on the Thai ethnic minority people’s ancient folk songs by Nguyen Trong Nghia, Ha To Uyen, Nguyen Phuong Hien, Le Bat Hung and Ha Thanh Hue from the Nghia Lo provincial-town High School in Yen Bai province. Meanwhile, Nguyen Duc Trung from the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema received the third prize for his video clip on quan ho (love duet) singing.
Two consolidation and two collective prizes were also presented to four individuals and units.
The contest aimed to raise young people’s awareness of preserving and promoting the country’s cultural values.
Out of a total of 2,347 entries submitted to the contest, 802 video clips were selected to be published via the TikTok channel “Essence of Vietnam”. During the eight weeks, the organising board presented awards to eight outstanding works.
The final round then took place by online voting via the website www.tinhhoavietnam.doanthanhnien.vn.
