To this end, Viet Nam Airlines Group will operate more than 3,600 flights during the period, marking a 25% increase over the same period last year.

The supplementary capacity will be prioritised for routes connecting Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City with high-demand destinations such as Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Hue, Da Lat, and Phu Quoc.

Following the peak summer travel season, the domestic aviation market sustains its upward trajectory as the National Day holiday approaches, which marks the final extended holiday of the year.

The trend towards short trips combined with visits to relatives during the holiday has become increasingly pronounced, with bookings on many routes surging from early August.

Proactively boosting capacity will provide Viet Nam Airlines passengers with more options on high-demand routes, helping to stabilise market supply.

Beyond augmenting capacity for the National Day peak period, Viet Nam Airlines is also proactively adjusting its operating plans on international and domestic routes in line with market demand.

From August 16, the carrier will launch the Ho Chi Minh City–Colombo route ahead of schedule as demand for travel between Viet Nam and Sri Lanka has accelerated.

On its domestic network, Viet Nam Airlines is set to reinstate the Can Tho–Da Lat route from August 19, immediately after Lien Khuong International Airport in Lam Dong resumes operations.

The route will be operated by VASCO, a member of Viet Nam Airlines Group, using ATR 72 aircraft, with one daily round trip.

Alongside increasing flight frequencies, Viet Nam Airlines will continue to roll out its autumn promotions, offering passengers a range of options at attractive fares.
