The event, jointly organised by the Ministries of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam and Laos, aimed to support businesses in finding partners, expanding their business networks, and promoting bilateral trade.
With the theme “Connecting Businesses – Expanding Markets – Towards the Target of 10 Billion USD in Viet Nam-Laos Trade”, the conference attracted the participation of 57 businesses.
At the conference, delegates received the latest information on trade policies, investment environment, legal regulations, border trade, and cooperation opportunities in each market. Delegates attending the workshop also presented papers and engaged in direct discussions about the investment and business environment of each country to seek opportunities for cooperation and investment.
Within the framework of the workshop, businesses also participated in direct business matching sessions to find partners and expand their business networks. Many businesses from both countries found partners on their first participation in the networking sessions at the workshop.
According to the Ministries of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam and Laos, economic cooperation has become a long-term foundation in Viet Nam-Laos relations and is increasingly flourishing.
In 2025, bilateral trade between the two countries reached nearly 3 billion USD, an increase of nearly 33% compared to 2024. This served as a basis for the two countries to set the target of reaching 5 billion USD in bilateral trade between Viet Nam and Laos in the near future and aiming for 10 billion USD by 2030.
