The event was attended by representatives from the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Zunyi City, Director of the China Cultural Centre in Ha Noi, Zhang Deshan, along with tourism enterprises and organisations from both nations.
In her opening remarks, Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, Deputy Director General of the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, stated that the programme serves as vivid evidence of the strong and enduring cooperation between Viet Nam and China. It also provides a platform for tourism authorities, businesses and organisations to deepen mutual understanding, explore new partnerships, and co-develop diverse, high-quality tourism offerings.
In the first half of 2025, Viet Nam welcomed over 2.7 million Chinese visitors, a 44% increase year-on-year, making China the largest source of international arrivals to the country. Conversely, outbound Vietnamese tourism to China also surged, with Guangxi, Yunnan, Guangdong and Guizhou among the most popular destinations.
Zhang Deshan, Director of the China Cultural Centre in Ha Noi, highlighted the close and long-standing friendship between Viet Nam and China. In recent years, guided by the strategic direction of both countries’ top leaders, bilateral relations have continued to deepen across all sectors, particularly in the preservation of cultural heritage.

The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of Viet Nam–China diplomatic relations and has been designated the "Viet Nam–China Year of People-to-People Exchanges." On this occasion, the China Cultural Centre in Ha Noi reaffirmed its role as a bridge promoting cultural and tourism cooperation between localities of both countries.
The exchange programme is a meaningful journey—with culture as the vessel, tourism as the sail, and friendship as the oar, together spreading stories of graceful Viet Nam and enchanting China.

During the event, several travel companies of the two countries signed cooperation agreements, aiming to boost practical collaboration between enterprises in the near future.
Looking ahead, Viet Nam is set to organise a series of tourism promotion and cultural exchange events in several Chinese cities including Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Chongqing and Beijing. These efforts aim to further deepen the Viet Nam–China friendship through people-to-people diplomacy and enduring cultural ties.
