Vietnam attends Paris Fair 2015

42 Vietnamese businesses attended the Paris Fair 2015 (Foire de Paris 2015) from April 29 to May 10 to promote products made in Vietnam.

The featured products, including handicrafts, lacquer ware, brocade, jewelry, clothes and silk, were displayed in an area of over 1,000 square metres, attracting visitors as well as French and international businessmen.

According to Nguyen Canh Cuong, Commercial Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in France, this is the biggest annual exhibition in the European country with around 3,500 booths from 50 countries on 220,000 square metre area, attracting around 600,000 visitors. It is also the biggest traditional fair of consumer goods, handicrafts and furniture in France and Europe.

Visiting the fair, Vietnamese ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son was impressed by Vietnamese businesses’ participation, saying that the embassy and the trade office of Vietnam in France should further study the demands of consumers in France and Europe while improving the quality and design of products as well as developing more high-quality products.

Carine Preterre, the fair’s director praised Vietnamese businesses’ participation and said that the products were of diversified categories, designs and good quality, attracting customers.

A traditional music and dance progamme by ‘Tieng to dong’ band and an ‘Ao dai’ fashion show by famous designer Ngo Nhat Huy were also staged at the exhibition.

The Vietnamese Embassy, the Vietnamese Trade Office and the Vietnamese Businessmen Association (ABVietFrance) in France have connected Vietnamese and French businesses and coordinated to help businesses from the country attend the fair.
