The production of the more common types of fiber has kept up with demand while other types of synthetic and mixed fiber are just beginning to be produced.
The textile industry invested in constructing the Dinh Vu Polyester Fiber Plant in Hai Phong city and Formosa Polyester Fiber Factory in Dong Nai province which are expected to meet 80-90% of demand of the textile industry by 2015.
