According to director and actress Hong Anh, the awards ceremony for the AIFF 2023 was held on August 4.

Kim B was born in 1989 in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province. She is not a professional actress but rather a makeup artist.

She participated in makeup in famous film projects including "Kong: Skull Island", a Hollywood movie by director Jordan Roberts filmed in Vietnam.

Kim B's role in “The Brilliant Night” is her first role in the film industry. The film is about domestic abuse.

The film won the Golden Kite Award 2021 and two awards of "Best story" and "Best performance: Female" for Nha Uyen at the Independent Film Festival in the US in 2022.

The “Best Film” award of AIFFA 2023 went to "Barbarian Invasion" by female director Chui Mun Tan from Malaysia. Previously, the film won the Jury Grand Prix in the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival Golden Goblet Awards in 2021.

AIFFA 2023 also presented the "ASEAN Inspiration" award to Bi Rain from the Republic of Korea.

Two Vietnamese movies, “Memento Mori: Dat” (Memento: Earth) and “The Brilliant Night”, were nominated in four categories of the ASEAN International Films Festivals & Awards (AIFFA) 2023.
