Binh Dinh to host 20 promotional events to attract 10 million visitors in 2025

The south-central province of Binh Dinh will host 20 culture, tourism and sports events throughout 2025 to attract 10 million visitors.

This was announced by the provincial Department of Tourism at a conference on January 17.

Prominent among the events include the 42nd National Television Festival, UIM – ABP Aquabike Grand Prix, UIM-APB F1H2O Powerboat Boat Race, the 2nd Binh Dinh Food Festival, the 2025 Summer Tourism Programme, National Pickleball Championship, the second Fleur De Lys La Vuong Trail, and the 2025 International Golf Tournament.

The province plans to transform Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Quy Nhon City into a festive hub, featuring a mascot for the Year of Snake and hosting a grand New Year’s Eve celebration. A highlight of the early-year calendar is the three-day commemoration of the 236th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi – Dong Da victory (1789-2025) in Tay Son District and a martial arts programme in the city.

According to Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of the Provincial Department of Tourism, the province has completed preparations for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

Visitors to Binh Dinh during Tet are invited to join an array of celebrations, including the khai an (opening seal) ceremony in Quy Nhon City, a boat racing festival in Tuy Phuoc District, and a golden apricot blossoms festival in An Nhon Town.

A three-day commemoration of the 236th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi – Dong Da victory (1789-2025) in Tay Son District and a martial arts programme in Quy Nhon City will also be held on the occasion.

In 2024, Binh Dinh welcomed more than 9.2 million tourist arrivals and earned around 25.5 trillion VND (over 1 billion USD) in tourism revenue, up 83.9% and 55.4% year-on-year, respectively.
