In his opening ceremony, Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh emphasised that in the context of deep international integration, Da Nang is always welcoming localities and international partners, strengthening friendships with various regions, expanding international cooperation, and working together with partners to uphold potential towards sustainable development while narrowing geographical gaps and fostering community ties.
He said that the forum provided an opportunity for international friends to view Da Nang as a dynamic and creative city.
At the same time, it was a chance for localities to access information, visions, trends and new technologies that serve their socio-economic development.
Taking place from January 16 to 18, the City Partnership Forum encompasses bilateral meetings, two sessions focusing on international cooperation for business investment and tourism development, and a central session titled ‘Forum of Friendly and Cooperative Cities’.
It also includes a public exhibition, cultural experiences, flower street tours, tree planting, and a distinctive bridge-building initiative for brown-shanked douc langurs on Son Tra Peninsula.
