The festival aims to honour and enhance the cultural values of these small ethnic groups, contribute to the education of patriotism and national pride, as well as strengthen the unity of various ethnic communities.

It will also provide an opportunity to introduce and promote the potential in developing culture, sports, and tourism of ethnic minorities in the context of renovation, integration, and development at home and abroad.

During the festival, a diverse range of activities will unfold, including performances, presentations of festivals, and rituals of traditional cultural practices of ethnic groups with a population of fewer than 10,000 people.

Alongside these activities is a mass cultural arts festival featuring unique musical performances of each ethnic group and displays of their traditional ethnic costumes.

The festival is also an opportunity to introduce and promote, to domestic and international friends, the potential and strengths of cultural development, sports, tourism, and traditional cultures of ethnic groups, in the process of innovation and integration development, especially those with a population of fewer than 10,000 people.
