More than 100 photos on display recall the great friendship, great solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries through the various periods of time since 1930.

The works on display also spotlight the cooperation between Son La Province and northern Lao localities.

In addition, pictures and documents on Phieng Sa Village (now Lao Kho I Village) in Phieng Khoai Commune, Yen Chau District, which witnessed the revolutionary activities of the North Lao Vanguard Division from 1948-1951, are also being introduced to the public.

According to Ngo Thi Hai Yen, Director of the Son La Provincial Museum, the exhibition aims to popularise the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, which was founded by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and has been nurtured by leaders and people of the two nations.

The exhibition will run until September at the special national relic site of Son La Prison in To Hieu Ward, Son La City.
