Famous artists to perform at Tchaikovsky’s Night in Hanoi

Classical music lovers will have an opportunity to enjoy Tchaikovsky’s Night, at the Grand Concert Hall of the Vietnam National Academy of Music at 8 pm on April 19, to listen to the emotional works of the famous composer representing the Russian romantic school.

Tchaikovsky’s Night will be led by Orhan Salliel - a talented conductor and composer with extensive experience conducting symphony orchestras in Turkey and internationally. With his unique ability to combine Western classical music with traditional Turkish musical elements, Orhan Salliel has created and launched many impressive projects and works. He is a guest conductor at many symphony orchestras around the world, having ever conducted in more than 19 countries.

Tchaikovsky's Night will bring three outstanding works of Tchaikovsky's style, affirming the talent of orchestration, harmony in compositional techniques and spiritual depth in musical art.

Tchaikovsky's Night will be performed by the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the leading units playing an important role in the musical life of Vietnam. The orchestra brings together professors, lecturers, soloists and excellent students from the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Many artists and musicians of the orchestra have graduated from famous conservatories in Russia, Hungary, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Particularly, the night will feature the participation of talented young violinist Sara Dragan. She possesses a natural musical ability and intense creativity and has won many major awards from about 50 prestigious violin competitions worldwide.

Tchaikovsky's Night will also have the performance of guest violinist Chuong Vu. Violinist Chuong Vu has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia with a repertoire ranging from pre-classical to contemporary.

The performance of famous and talented artists promises to create a sublime and emotional music night.
