The Travel shared that Vietnam is a distinctive country that is blessed with numerous beautiful natural attractions, including Ha Long Bay. With its emerald waters and nearly 2000 limestone islands and islets, the Bay typically receives 2.6 million visitors annually.

“The site also attracts hikers, swimmers, divers, and rock climbers,” the magazine added.

The Travel suggested that the best times to visit Ha Long Bay are in March, April, September, and October.

Located just a two-hour drive from Hanoi, the popular travel destination was recognised for its outstanding geological and geomorphological value by the World Heritage Committee in 2000.

A number of other prestigious foreign magazines and websites have also hailed the magnificent bay.

Most recently, in October, in their exclusive list shared with Forbes, Ha Long Bay stands out as the sole Vietnamese destination among their top 24 travel picks for 2024. The author of the article considers Ha Long Bay to be a wonderful place that can meet most of the needs of tourists, from exploring nature, learning about history, and experiencing cuisine to adventurous exploration.

At the end of October, luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler named the UNESCO-recognised heritage Ha Long Bay in the northeastern coastal province of Quang Ninh in its list of the 51 most beautiful places in the world.

In March 2023, CNN listed UNESCO heritage site Ha Long Bay among the 25 most gorgeous destinations on Earth, calling it "a place where time slows to a standstill."

In February 2023, the famous international travel magazine Travel + Leisure recommended Ha Long Bay as one of the four ideal destinations for beautiful sunrises and sunsets in any season.

Ha Long Bay also became the setting for Hollywood movies such as the "blockbuster" film "Kong: Skull Island" and the fantasy film "The Creator" directed by Gareth Edwards.

The list of the 10 most-visited natural wonders of the world was based on the evaluation of the 7 Natural Wonders Foundation, Google, and the latest surveys collected from Instagram, TikTok, and TripAdvisor according to the number of annual visitors.

Other destinations included on the list of the top 10 most-visited natural wonders were the Grand Canyon of Arizona (USA), Table Mountain (South Africa), Moraine Lake (Canada), the Matterhorn (Switzerland and Italy), the Great Barrier Reef (Australia), Arches National Park (USA), the Cliffs of Moher (Ireland), Iguazu Falls (Argentina and Brazil), and Guanabara Bay (Brazil).
