According to general assessments, the capital’s tourism industry has maintained stable growth. The international tourist market has seen steady growth, especially from key markets such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, France, and the US. International visitors continue to highly appreciate tourism products linked to cultural heritage, cuisine, traditional craft village experiences, and night-time activities. The consistent growth across these markets affirms Ha Noi’s increasing appeal on the global tourism map.
Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Ha Noi Department of Tourism, stated that in the coming months, the Department will focus on five key goals and tasks: enhancing state management effectiveness; developing tourism products, promoting cooperation, and market development; tourism promotion and communication; accelerating the digital transformation of the capital’s tourism sector; and strengthening inspection and supervision while building a safe, friendly, and civilised tourism environment.
Accordingly, the capital’s tourism sector will continue to prioritise supporting and directing destination and heritage site managers to invest in and develop cultural tourism and night-time experiences based on traditional cultural values. It will also promote the development of agricultural and rural tourism models, as well as community-based tourism experiences showcasing the traditional cultural values of ethnic minority groups in the districts of Thach That and Quoc Oai.
“The Department of Tourism will continue to expand and develop key tourism products such as culinary tourism, MICE tourism, and healthcare tourism. New tourism offerings will be promoted in potential and strength-based areas, including night tourism in the districts of Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho, adventure and experiential tourism, Red River tourism, and tourism incorporating virtual reality technology,” said Dang Huong Giang.
In addition, the department will strengthen cooperation with other provinces and cities to develop regional tourism routes and linked tourism products that complement one another. These include spiritual and cultural tours connecting Ha Noi – Ha Nam – Ninh Binh, and discovery and experiential tours such as Ha Noi – Son La and Ha Noi – Lao Cai – Lai Chau,” she added.
