Hanoi consumer prices gain 2.47% in September

Nhan Dan – Hanoi’s consumer price index (CPI) shot up 2.47% in September compared to the previous month, according to the municipal statistics office.

The latest data shows that increases in consumer prices in Hanoi have gathered momentum after falling for two months in a row.

The CPI fell 0.17% and 0.29% respectively in June and July, but rose 0.57% in August.

So far, consumer prices in the city have gained 5.3% against December 2011.
