Recently, in Seoul, a tourism promotion and investment conference was held for Thua Thien Hue Province and Quang Tri Province, drawing wide participation from delegates, associations, tourism enterprises, and Korean partners. Viet Nam’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Vu Ho, attended and delivered remarks.
In his speech, Ambassador Vu Ho introduced Viet Nam’s central region —particularly Hue and Quang Tri — as a distinctive cultural space, rich in history, heritage value, and human identity, with iconic symbols such as the Perfume River, the Hue Imperial Citadel — inscribed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site — along with Ngu Binh Mountain and Thien Mu Pagoda.
Ambassador Vu Ho stressed that the refined and tranquil character of Hue’s culture and people are a unique draw for international visitors — especially Korean travellers who favour cultural and heritage experiences and a slower pace of life. Meanwhile, Quang Tri, with its network of historical relics, natural landscapes, and potential for spiritual tourism as well as coastal and island travel, is also a destination rich in discovery.
On the occasion, the ambassador called on Korean tourism businesses, travel agencies, and partners to intensify cooperation, connect tours, expand flight routes, and strengthen promotion programmes to attract more Korean visitors to Hue and Quang Tri.
He affirmed that the two localities always welcome Korean travellers with friendliness, safety, and distinctive cultural experiences — helping deepen people-to-people exchanges and tourism cooperation between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea.
