The “Love Vietnam So Much” campaign is conducted under the directive of Nhan Dan Newspaper to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).
The campaign utilises wireless connection technology to promote historical and cultural sites throughout the country. It creates unique discovery experiences for tourists and supports and promotes tourism across localities, aligning with the development of the current digital society.
In Ben Tre Province, the Provincial People’s Committee instructed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with reporters from Nhan Dan Newspaper and engineers from Phygital Labs Joint Stock Company to install NFC chipboards at three locations, including the Special National Monument of Ben Tre Uprising (Dinh Thuy Commune, Mo Cay Nam District), the Special National Monument – Tomb and Memorial Area of Nguyen Dinh Chieu (An Duc Commune, Ba Tri District), and the Memorial Site of Nguyen Thi Dinh (Luong Hoa Commune, Giong Trom District).
Accordingly, the technological solution includes two main components: a physical interactive station equipped with an NFC chip, and a website that users can access by tapping their phone on the smart interactive station.
The interactive station is uniformly designed with red and yellow colours inspired by the Vietnamese national flag and can operate independently without a power source. Visitors can connect to the smart station using NFC-enabled smartphones to access the “Love Vietnam So Much” website.
Each smart interactive station provides stories and images about the site and its surrounding province or city, along with features for route navigation, information lookup, and travel guidance to explore the site and nearby destinations.
Visitors can also “check-in” to see what number they are among those who have visited the site and upload their photo with a message to the “Love Vietnam So Much” campaign. These photos and messages will be collected and compiled into a Vietnam map featuring images of people from all regions of the country. Through this initiative, historical and cultural sites across the nation are promoted, contributing to Vietnam’s tourism development, and supporting Ben Tre’s growth toward a modern and sustainable tourism model.
