The cooperation agreement between Military Hospital 175 under the Ministry of National Defence, Cho Ray Hospital under the Ministry of Health, and Phu Quoc Sun Group International Hospital is a practical step in executing the Ministry of Health’s recent policies. Professional support for Phu Quoc Sun Group International Hospital will therefore play a vital role in providing emergency care and delivering healthcare services to local residents, and tourists visiting Phu Quoc in the years ahead.
Regarding healthcare preparations for APEC 2027, the Ministry of Health has already issued guidance and conducted site assessments. Phu Quoc Sun Group International Hospital will be one of the medical facilities tasked with providing healthcare services during APEC 2027.
The cooperation agreement centres on three key areas: bolstering advanced medical techniques on-site, upgrading the emergency care and patient transport system, and developing a healthcare ecosystem that is equipped to respond to emergencies.
Cho Ray Hospital will serve as the leading multidisciplinary specialist partner, serving to elevate advanced medical services at the hospital. It will underpin the full spectrum of professional activities at Phu Quoc Sun Group International Hospital, including in-person and remote consultations, treatment of complex cases, technology transfer, workforce training, and patient referral coordination. It will also ensure a stable blood supply for emergency care and treatment, thereby reducing unnecessary patient transfers.
Military Hospital 175 will lend its expertise in intensive care, trauma treatment, and pre-hospital emergency care. The two sides will establish a coordination mechanism for air medical transport, aimed at developing a modern emergency response system capable of managing large-scale emergencies, mass casualty incidents, and critically ill patients.
Through its partnerships with these two leading referral hospitals, Phu Quoc Sun Group International Hospital will steadily cultivate advanced healthcare capabilities tailored to the requirements of an international island destination, delivering robust on-site treatment, rapid specialist consultations, safe patient transfers, and effective responses to large-scale emergencies.
