Speaking at the event, Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the programme is a practical activity to encourage and promote the role of artists as steadfast revolutionary soldiers on the cultural front of the Party.
He stressed that the innovation in performing arts not only meets political demands and cultural consumption needs but also helps the cultural sector discover and honour the talents and contributions of artists who actively contribute to various artistic fields in the country.
He called on artists across the country to continue to create significant works with ideological, artistic, and humanitarian value that engage the public while honouring national identity.
Within the programme, 34 outstanding performing artists and ten notable books were named and honoured.
The recognised artists were the winners of gold medals or first prizes at national professional art festivals organised in 2024 by the Performing Arts Department, such as the National Drama Festival, International Dance Festival, National Singing and Dancing Festival, and National Cai Luong Festival.
