From November 27 to December 1, the 18th Venezuela International Tourism Fair took place in the coastal city of Puerto Cabello, Carabobo State, drawing 3,000 Venezuelan tourism enterprises and travel agencies from 35 countries and territories, including seven tourism businesses from Viet Nam.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Venezuela’s Minister of Tourism Leticia Gómez stressed that the 2025 Venezuela International Tourism Fair is the country’s most significant tourism event. It provides a platform for networking and expanding international cooperation, reaffirming Venezuela’s desire to showcase to global friends its tourism potential, strengths, rich natural landscapes, and the image of a peace-loving and hospitable nation.
According to Daniella Cabello, Chairwoman of Venezuela’s Nation Brand, the FITVEN 2025 is the largest ever held. It not only presents tourism opportunities across all 24 states nationwide but also extends to economic–trade, agricultural, industrial, cultural, and investment cooperation.
At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My expressed gratitude to the Venezuelan Government for its warm reception, and for inviting Vietnamese travel companies to attend.
Emphasising that the participation of Vietnamese businesses in the FITVEN 2025 not only demonstrates the traditional friendship between the two countries, but also creates opportunities to forge new connections, and gradually build a bridge for bilateral tourism cooperation, Ambassador Vu Trung My noted that Vietnamese travel companies brought to the Fair a spirit of cooperation, and goodwill to expand markets, contributing to promoting people-to-people exchanges and enhancing mutual understanding between Viet Nam and Venezuela.
During the reception for the Vietnamese delegation, Minister of Tourism Leticia Gómez highly valued the fact that Vietnamese travel companies had come to Venezuela at this time to explore the market, meet partners, and discover cooperation potential. She described this as a vivid manifestation of trust and goodwill between the two nations across the Pacific.
Minister Gómez expressed her hope that, following the FITVEN 2025, Vietnamese businesses will become an important bridge bringing Vietnamese tourists to Venezuela and vice versa. The Venezuelan Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, is committed to accompanying and maximally supporting efforts to facilitate cooperation activities, delegation exchanges, tour connections, professional training, and the sharing of sustainable tourism development experience.
As part of the activities of the FITVEN 2025, the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela introduced to international friends and local participants the distinctive features of Vietnamese culture and tourism, highlighting the country’s diversity through its heritage, festivals, street cuisine, and the hospitality of its people.
