‘Summer Book’ fair to attract children

Nhan Dan Online – Children are going to have the opportunity to read many new good books at the 2013 ‘Summer Book’ Fair which is scheduled to take place from May 29 to June 1 at the Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi.

The highlight of the fair is the debut of many new children’s books, especially the two world famous literary works adapted in the comic book form including ‘Hoang tu be’ (The Little Prince) by French writer Antoine de Saint Éxupéry and ‘Tay du ky’ (Journey to the West) by Chinese author Wu Cheng'en.

Publishers taking part in the fair plan to offer discounts of 10 – 50% on all books.

Leading psychology experts are also going to present a variety of seminars related to caring and educating children and a child’s psychology and reading needs during the fair.

Visitors will also have a chance to exchange with Vietnamese famous authors and translators such as Phan Viet and Truong Anh Ngoc.

The book fair aims to create a useful and attractive playground for book lovers, especially children during the summer holiday.

The 2013 ‘Summer Book’ Fair is jointly organised by the Nha Nam Culture and Communications Joint Stock Company, the Vietnam Women’s Museum, Women's Publishing House and Tien Phong Bookstore and is expected to open from 8am to 21pm everyday.
