At the session, Dat Do Party Secretary Nguyen Cong Danh said the district has recorded decent economic growth since being established in 2003.
The poverty rate has been falling over the years to 0.7% in 2023 and the average income per capita reached 81 million VND (3,182 USD).
Vice President Xuan expressed her delight at the strong development of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province and Dat Do District in particular.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau has become an economic engine in the southern region, with its economy ranking sixth nationwide and one of the five largest contributors to the central budget.
The State leader expressed her wish that in the future, Ba Ria-Vung Tau would continue maintaining its growth quality and enhancing the people’s living standards.
On the occasion, Vice President Xuan presented 200 million VND to the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Children Fund and 60 gifts to policy beneficiary households, poor households and disadvantaged children in Dat Do District.
On the same day, Xuan laid a wreath and offered incense to heroine Vo Thi Sau at a monument and temple dedicated to her in Dat Do District.
