The General Council of Agriculture and Rural Development Viet Nam, in coordination with the US–Viet Nam Business Council (UVBC), held a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on October 21 to launch the “AgriConnect Viet Nam–US 2025” project, aiming to promote trade, and expand agricultural import and export activities between the two countries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kevin Morgan, UVBC Chairman, introduced the council’s overall activities and the business delegation from the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA). He expressed his hope that the “AgriConnect Viet Nam–US 2025” project would serve as a bridge connecting enterprises in the agricultural sectors of both countries, fostering mutual growth.

Nguyen Duc Quang, Vice President of the General Council of Agriculture and Rural Development Viet Nam and Editor-in-Chief of Nong Thon Viet Magazine, expressed confidence that the newly signed project would open up many sustainable development pathways for both sides. He emphasised that the initiative would connect enterprises from the two organisations, contributing to the promotion of bilateral trade and paving the way for broader cooperation in the future.

During the event, representatives of domestic and international enterprises shared experiences in supporting digital transformation in the agricultural sector, discussed practical case studies, and exchanged information on trade, export, and import activities.

The “AgriConnect Viet Nam–US 2025” project was initiated to promote trade, expand agricultural import and export activities between the two countries, and create a direct bridge between Vietnamese and US agricultural enterprises through the business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce platform Nongthonviet.Arobid.com — a digital exhibition and trading platform dedicated to the agricultural sector, under the sponsorship of the General Council of Agriculture and Rural Development Viet Nam.

The project is not only a trade promotion initiative but also a symbol of deeper cooperation between Viet Nam and the US in agriculture and the digital economy. Through this event, Viet Nam reaffirms its commitment to advancing agriculture into the era of digital transformation — making it transparent, sustainable, and globally integrated.

The B2B platform Nongthonviet.Arobid.com will officially debut with the programme “Viet Village to Global – eShow 2025”, to be from November 17 to 19.
