Organised by Viet Tinh Anh JSC (LEGO Education) in collaboration with the Danish Embassy, the 2025 STEM Robotics Robotacon World Robot Olympiad (WRO) attracted 411 teams with 1,235 contestants from 278 primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary schools nationwide. Contestants competed in various age-based categories including Global Robotics Games, RoboMission, Future Innovators, and Robot Tennis.
Following two regional qualifiers in the North and the Central–South, 30% of contestants advanced to the national finals held on August 6 in Ho Chi Minh City. The results saw 34 teams with 68 contestants selected to represent Viet Nam at the WRO & Global Robotics Games (GRG) world finals in Singapore this November.
The competition not only tested programming and engineering skills but also encouraged students to develop robotic solutions for the community, solutions that are innovative, fair, and sustainable.
“Investing in education is the most valuable and long-term investment; it is also an investment in the country’s future. Robotacon WRO is more than just a competition — it is a place that inspires students to think creatively and solve problems,” said Lasse Pedersen Hjortshøj, Chargé d’Affaires of the Danish Embassy in Viet Nam.

Nguyen Quang Tri, Executive Director of Marketing at Vinamilk, a sponsorship partner of the competition, expressed confidence and hope that contestants, and Vietnamese students in general, will continue to nurture a spirit of boldness and determination in their creative learning journey, striving for achievements that not only benefit themselves but also contribute to the community and make life better.
