The event has attracted 13 teams from 12 countries and territories, including two from Vietnam.
The teams are assigned to control their robots to perform tasks that simulate the rice cultivation process, from sowing seeds to harvesting, within a set period of time.
The contestants will also join cultural exchanges and sightseeing tours to Ha Long Bay.
The annual contest, hosted by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), offers a venue for students from the Asia-Pacific region to share their passion about robotics and learn from each other’s experiences.
This year’s event is expected to help Quang Ninh Province and Ha Long City in particular to advertise its land, people, and culture to international friends, while also affirming Vietnam’s position in the field of technology.
