The contest, which runs from May 23-28, is an opportunity for college students to apply their knowledge in mechanics, programming, electronics and other fields.
The final round in Nam Dinh Province features 32 teams, which have been selected from 67 teams from 19 higher education institutions across the country.
They are divided into eight four-team groups, with two best-performing teams in each group to advance to the round of 16, where they will compete in elimination matches to select the final winner.
The winning team will represent Vietnam at the Asia-Pacific contest scheduled to take place in Cambodia in August.
