The translation work, from Vietnamese to Lao, was done over six years, from 2008 to 2013 by experts from the academy and the Laos National Academy for Politics and Public Administration.
The collection comprises six volumes of the works of Marx and Engels, four volumes of Lenin, and three volumes of Ho Chi Minh, with a total of 15,000 pages.
Addressing the ceremony in Vientiane, Lao Vice President Bounnhang Volochith and Communist Party of Vietnam Politburo member Dinh The Huynh said the publication would be very helpful for Lao officials in mastering the principles of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s Thought, in order to further perfect the policies of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, as well as to serve research and training in the country.
