Vietnam Spring-Summer Fashion Week 2012 announced

Nhan Dan Online - Nearly 700 of the latest designs by 25 designers from across the country will be introduced at the Spring-Summer Fashion Week 2012, to be held at the Daewoo Hotel in Hanoi from November 28-30.

At a press conference yesterday, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) Le Tien Truong, who is also Vice President of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas), a co-organiser of the event, said this year’s fashion week will showcase designs by Viet Thang Garment Company and the Thai Nguyen - TNG Garment Company as well as many talented young designers such as Viet Ha, Vu Tran Duc Hai, The Son, Cuong Thinh, Thuong Huyen, Quynh Paris, Quang Huy, F4 and a Spanish designer for the Chula brand, Diego Cortizas.

Vietnam's leading designer Minh Hanh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Fashion Design Institute (Fadin), said Spring-Summer Fashion Week 2012 will present unique designs by three generations of designers who promise to bring a breath of fresh air to Vietnamese fashion with new materials, techniques and colours.

Spring-Summer Fashion Week 2012, organised jointly by Vinatex, Vitas, Fadin, and Vietnam Mode Magazine, will feature many familiar models from the Hanoi New Talent Company along with Miss Vietnam 2008 Thuy Dung and Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han, who will make her debut in a new role as a designer for the F4 group.
