Vietnam wins two silvers at International Math Olympiad

Nhan Dan - All four members of the Vietnamese team achieved positive results at the 19th International Mathematics Competition for University Students that took place recently in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.

Pham Minh Quang and Tran Van Do won two silver medals, while Hoang Duc Trung and Nguyen Duc Khanh were awarded certificates of merit. They are all students from the Hanoi University of Natural Sciences under the Vietnam National University.

This year’s competition was held at the American University in Bulgaria from July 26 to August 1. It attracted 315 students from 75 universities around the world who were tested in their knowledge of algebra, real and complex analytics, combinatorial mathematics and geometry.
