Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan hailed the socio-economic achievements that Vinh Phuc authorities and people have gained over the past years. The province has also done an excellent job of planning, preserving and promoting its cultural tangible and intangible value, he added.
The Deputy PM called on local authorities to exploit its tourism potential in an effective and sustainable way and further develop the province’s hospitality sector.
The opening ceremony featured songs and dances praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho and the land and people of Vinh Phuc and concluded with a colourful low-range fire works.
Under the theme ‘Vinh Phuc on the Way of Development’, the four-day event included a photo exhibition, a trade fair with the participation of Red River Delta provinces, a Chau Van (spiritual singing) festival, a singing contest for students at universities and colleges in the province plus a wide range of sporting events.
