Winners of ‘Happy Viet Nam’ Award 2025 honoured

Winners of the ‘Happy Viet Nam’ Photography and Video Award 2025 were honoured at a ceremony held on December 6 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in Ha Noi by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ha Noi People's Committee.

At the ceremony, organisers awarded first prize in the photo category to Pham Ngoc Long Thien and first prize in the video category to Luu Minh Khuong for entries named ‘Viet Nam in the Era of National Rise’ and ‘Happy Smiles’, respectively.

2025 marks the third year the “Happy Viet Nam” Award has been held, aiming to encourage domestic people, overseas Vietnamese communities, and international friends to create photos and videos about Viet Nam's land and people.

After more than four months of launch, organisers received over 17,000 photo and video entries. The judging panel selected 36 winning works and curated 150 photos and 29 videos for the “Happy Viet Nam” exhibition, each capturing authentic moments of national transformation and emotion, painting a vivid picture of a civilised, identity-rich Viet Nam advancing strongly in integration and development.​

In his speech, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh reported that over its three editions, the award has attracted nearly 40,000 entries. Outstanding works have been captured landscapes and events across Viet Nam, such as Dien Bien Phu City during its celebration marking the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory, and the celebration in Ha Noi to observe the 80th National Day anniversary.

These works have also reached international audiences through exhibitions and cultural events in Sochi (Russia), Bangkok (Thailand), Venezuela, Australia, Sweden, and upcoming displays in Chile, Hungary, Finland, and Brunei.

Additionally, 97 Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad have used these photos and videos for promotion activities, spreading the message of a peaceful, humane, and culturally rich Viet Nam.​
