Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will co-chair the 48th session of the Viet Nam–Laos Intergovernmental Committee on December 2 and 3 at the invitation of his Lao counterpart Sonexay Siphandone.

December 2025 is marked with a series of brilliant milestones in the proud history of formation and development of the fraternal Lao party, state and people, with the celebration of the 50th National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 – December 2, 2025) and the 105th birth anniversary of President Kaysone Phomvihane (December 13, 1920 – December 13, 2025).

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, and his spouse, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) To Lam and his spouse, together with a high-ranking delegation of Viet Nam, are paying a state visit to Laos for attending a ceremony marking the 50th National Day of Laos and co-chairing a high-level meeting between the CPV and the LPRP.

Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Haji Hassanal Bolkiah is paying a state visit to Viet Nam from November 30 to December 2 at the invitation of State President Luong Cuong. This marks the first visit to Viet Nam by Sultan of Brunei Darussalam after eight years and the sixth visit to the country by Sultan of Brunei Darussalam.

At the invitation of Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Woo Won Shik, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (RoK), and his spouse are paying an official visit to Viet Nam from November 20 to 22.

At the invitations of Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al Sabah, PM of Algeria Sifi Ghrieb, and President of South Africa cum G20 Chair for 2025 Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, PM Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation are paying official visits to Kuwait and Algeria and will attend the G20 Summit along with bilateral activities in South Africa from November 16 – 24.

King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is paying an official visit to Viet Nam on November 12–13 at the invitation of the Luong Cuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, and his spouse, together with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, successfully concluded an official visit to the UK from October 28 to 30, at the invitation of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

President Luong Cuong and a high-ranking delegation of Viet Nam left Ha Noi on October 29 morning for the 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Week in Gyeongju city and bilateral activities in the Republic of Korea (ROK). Their trip, from October 29 to November 1, is made at the invitation of RoK President Lee Jae Myung.

At the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who serves as ASEAN Chair in 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is leading a high-level Vietnamese delegation to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and related summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from October 25 to 28.

At the invitation of President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam To Lam and his spouse, together with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, are paying an official visit to Bulgaria from October 22 to 24.

At the invitation of Finnish President Alexander Stubb, General Secretary To Lam and his spouse, together with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, are paying an official visit to Finland from October 20 to 22.

As the first visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) by a General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) in 18 years, General Secretary To Lam’s trip was a resounding success. It helped strengthen political trust and create a strong momentum to further promote the relationship between the two Parties and two countries to new heights.

At the invitation of Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and President of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam is paying a state visit to the DPRK and attending celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the WPK from October 9 to 11.

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin is leading a high-level Russian delegation on an official visit to Viet Nam and to co-chair the fourth session of the Viet Nam–Russia Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee on September 28 to 29 at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

The resistance war in Southern Viet Nam marked the beginning of the nationwide struggle against the second French colonial invasion, affirming Viet Nam’s spirit of self-reliance and unwavering will for independence.

At the invitation of President Luong Cuong and his spouse, Australian Governor-General Sam Mostyn and her husband are paying a state visit to Viet Nam from September 9 to 12.

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping, State President Luong Cuong is attending the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the world’s peoples over fascism and working in China from September 2 to 4, 2025. This is President Luong Cuong’s first working visit to China in his capacity as the head of state.

Exactly 80 years ago, on September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, proclaiming the birth of the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam. This was a great turning point in the nation’s history, ushering in a new era.

At the invitation of the Chinese government, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit as a guest of the host country and pay a working visit to China from August 31 to September 1.
