The event has been held annually by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade since 2017.
Addressing the launch ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen said, that the city currently has 960 enterprises operating in the support industry, including 320 enterprises with production systems and products meeting international standards and capable of supplying to the manufacturing network of multinational corporations.
The three-day fair is expected to foster connectivity and help enterprises in the field, to introduce their products and expand the market, Quyen noted.
“Products exhibited at the fair have high competitiveness in the key support industries such as spare parts, manufacturing, precision machined products, industrial machines, and others. Through the fair, support enterprises are anticipated to have opportunities to promote their brands and export, as well as joining supply chains of both domestic and international enterprises,” the Vice Chairman added.
The event will also feature two seminars on investment promotion in high technology and support industries.
