Ho Chi Minh City Children's Book Fair to reveal many new features

The fifth Ho Chi Minh City Children’s Book Fair 2024 will take place at the City’s Book Street from May 31 to June 9, featuring numerous attractive and useful activities for children.

This year, the book fair attracts the participation of 24 publishing houses and book distributors from across the city. At the fair, the organising board will display good books for children that were published to serve readers during the summer as well as the book “History of Vietnam” in pictures (in Vietnamese and English).

In addition, more than 20,000 book titles with a diverse range of genres for children are being introduced at the fair to serve readers and parents.

The highlight of this year's Ho Chi Minh City Children's Book Fair will be the announcement of the Professional Council and Regulations on the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Book Awards.

In addition to the city's childcare activities during the summer, this year’s book fair continues to be held with many new features and exciting activities to serve children.

During the 10 days of the fair, at the main stage, the Children's Book Fair will feature nearly 60 activities,including exchanges, book launchings, interactive and experiential activities, art performances, martial arts performances, and the screening of English films adapted from literary, cultural, and historical works.

Readers will also have the chance to explore the virtual reality glasses system with knowledge about science, book libraries, and creative science.

Notably, the focus of the series of events will be the forum themed “Making friends with books”, with the participation of speakers who are the ambassadors of reading culture in Ho Chi Minh City, education experts, psychologists, and young authors.

This year, for the first time, AI robots will be used to welcome and support readers at the fair.
